The best times to trek in the Everest region are mid-September to November, followed by March and April. During the first season, you’ll experience stunning views and favorable weather. In the second season (March-April), you can also enjoy the vibrant rhododendron blooms in the lower Himalayan regions. While it’s possible to trek at other times, the visibility of the Himalayas largely depends on luck.
In Kathmandu, we provide accommodation in three-star hotels with breakfast included. Our options include Hotel Thamel House, Gaju Suite Hotel, Hotel Jampa, or similar-quality hotels. During the trek, we stay in teahouses that offer clean and comfortable rooms. For more details, refer to the section on Teahouses in the Everest region trek.
Altitude sickness is a potential concern during the Everest Panorama trek due to lower oxygen levels at higher elevations. To minimize the risk, we recommend acclimatization days and gradual ascents at higher altitudes. Throughout the trek, our experienced guides will assist you in identifying and preventing altitude sickness.
The flight to Lukla is influenced by the trekking season. During peak trekking months (March, April, May, October, and November), Kathmandu airport can be congested, and flights to Lukla may depart from Manthali Airport in Ramechhap district. In the off-season, however, flights to Lukla are typically available directly from Kathmandu airport.
