Starting the Hike
The journey begins with a drive of about 1.5 hours from Kathmandu to Kakani by private transport. Upon reaching Kakani, you’ll pass through the Kakani Village and the scout center, before reaching the black tea farm. The trail then enters a dense forest, following a path past an army base. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain ranges, including Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang. The landscape is complemented by dark green forests, vibrant flowers, and peaceful valleys.
The Hike to Suryachaur
After about three hours of hiking through the forest, you’ll reach Suryachaur, an open area offering panoramic views of the Himalayan range. There are local cottages here where you can stop for a delicious lunch while taking in the stunning scenery.
Continuing the Hike
After lunch, the hike continues towards Jhonr, where the walk concludes. From there, you’ll drive back to Kathmandu, completing a memorable day of hiking.

Day 1:
Drive to Kakani Hike to Suryachaur and Jhonr and Drive Back to Kathmandu
Maximum Altitude: (2030m)
7:00 AM – Meet Our Guide & Drive to Kakani: After breakfast at the hotel, we meet our guide and begin our journey to Kakani, which takes about 2 hours by private transport.
Start the Hike: Upon reaching Kakani, we start our hike, passing through Kakani Village and entering the jungle.
2-Hour Forest Trek: We continue our walk through the lush forest for approximately 2 hours, enjoying the natural surroundings.
Reach Suryachaur: After the forest hike, we arrive at an open area where we can enjoy stunning views of Suryachaur and the surrounding mountains.
Lunch Break: We stop for lunch, taking in the breathtaking views of the Himalayas.
Continue to Jhonr: After lunch, we hike for another hour to reach Jhonr.
Drive Back to Hotel: From Jhonr, we catch our private transport and drive back to the hotel, concluding our adventure.

The ideal seasons for this tour are between January to June and September to December.
Weather varies depending on the season. In winter (December to February), it’s colder at night, with temperatures ranging from 4°C at night to 22°C during the day. From March to May, the weather is pleasant, with daytime temperatures averaging around 25°C. After the monsoon, between September and December, temperatures cool down, making it a great time for travel, with an average temperature of 20°C.

During the trip, we provide three-star hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini, including breakfast, and similar-class resorts in Chitwan with breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In Kathmandu, we use hotels like Hotel Thamel House, Gaju Suite Hotel, Hotel Jampa, or similar-class accommodations. In Pokhara, we stay at Splendid View Hotel, and in Chitwan, we use Landmark Resort. In Lumbini, lodging options include Lumbini Buddha Garden Resort or Lumbini Palace Resort.
You also have the option to upgrade to five-star hotels for the entire trip at an additional cost. Private rooms can be arranged upon request for an extra charge.
